Worth Abbey and School

Worth Abbey wins a West Sussex Award for Conservation

Tully De'Ath have been working with both Worth Abbey and Worth School on a variety of renovation and new build projects. The projects range from a three phased scheme that forms new dormitory accommodation for girls at the school to an extensive refurbishment of the Abbey Church.

Photos of the recent refurbishmernt works at Worth Abbey show off the superbly restored interiors of the Abbey Church. These works have been given Industry Awards for their excellence. Tully De'Ath's role in this work was to provide all necessary engineering designs to discreetly support the very delicate finishings all around the Church. Many of the engineering designs whilst being of modest proportions were essential in achieving the Architect's chosen effects.

Externally the renewals and refurbishments were of a more robust nature and called for the usual temporary works and fabric repairs associated with Reinforced Concrete buildings some 60 years after they were built.
