Energy, water and waste conservation strategies
Tully De'Ath worked as part of a design group to create a number of high quality technology and business parks on the outskirts of Hastings and Bexhill. The Enviro21 Innovation Parks have energy, water and waste conservation strategies at their core and will create a thriving community of sustainable businesses.
The scheme received planning approval in May 2008 and Phase 1 construction work was completed in 2010. The scheme includes ten high quality units arranged within seven buildings, each providing a combination of manufacturing and office space, ranging in size from 1,520m² to 3,960m². They have been designed to blend with the surrounding scenic countryside, including the adjoining Marline Woods Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI)

The scheme also includes an Innovation Exchange Centre — a stand-alone building comprising exhibition, conference and meeting spaces as well as a destination restaurant for use by the Park's occupiers, the wider business community, education parties and the public. A second Enviro21 Innovation Park site has already been identified nearby at Queensway North, which could accommodate a further nine business units.
Given the 'green credentials' of the Enviro 21 Parks, the Client has opted to install a 2-megawatt wind turbine so that power generated thereby can offset the power consumption of the businesses in the Parks.
